POSITION SUMMARY
To act as deputy in the absence of the Leisure club manager and Senior Supervisor
To manage the Leisure club operation on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the operational standards are adhered to and target performance is maintained.
To assist with recruitment, training and development of an effective operations team to ensure that the operation is best placed to exceed guest service standards.

To ensure all operational checklists are updated and completed by the relevant leisure associate.
To ensure the operation complies with all statutory and legal requirements to the benefit of guests and team
members and the overall operation.
To ensure membership satisfaction targets are met by working closely with the annual results and Leisure/Brand Audit standards
To take responsibility for cleanliness and maintenance in all public areas and direct associates to tasks where appropriate or required.
To cover reception and lifeguard the pool when necessary (only if lifeguard trained)
To co-ordinate and monitor all activities in the club with regards to supervision levels and the rota. Ensure full compliance with Kronos, Mhub and all other operating systems.
To assist with the co-ordination and implementation of all on going team training, lifeguard refreshers, health and safety requirements.
To ensure strict adherence to the swimming pool and lifeguard standards
To ensure all necessary water testing are performed and recorded.
To ensure departmental checklists are available, checked and filed.
To be fully aware of the technical aspects of the club operation that includes, air handling, pool plant, water supply, drains etc.
To be responsible for the late / night cleaning team – rostering and work schedule
To work to time scales and deadlines within the membership week and monthly period and to complete job tasks from the Leisure Manager at the time specified time.
To obtain a sound working knowledge of the membership process in order to provide a quality service to prospective and existing members.
To provide an efficient, quality service to prospective and existing members at all times.
To ensure a full understanding and completion of all retention tools and member cancellation and HFO spreadsheets.
To organise, attend and support member social evenings, gym social events and challenges within the gym.
To support the marketing and promotion of the Leisure Club operation, monitoring the effectiveness of the activity to develop guest awareness and sales growth.
To collect all towels from the changing rooms and ensure they are laundered and returned clean to the reception.
To remove any rubbish and take to disposal area
To have a full working knowledge of all cleaning chemicals relevant to the Leisure department and to wear personal protective equipment as appropriate to the chemicals in use
To ensure that all lost property is returned to the Leisure reception before the end of each shift with all the relevant information.
To ensure that entry into the club is by production of a valid membership card or by swiping cards electronically, other persons must sign in as a guest, prospective member or visitor; to collect the current fees as per the appropriate tariff.
To book classes and coaches for members, with efficiency both in person and on the telephone; to effectively administer cancellations, re-bookings and no-shows; to charge members and collect appropriate fees
To likewise administer bookings for other facilities which may be present in the club, these may include :
Sun beds
Aerobics
Swimming lessons
Health & Beauty
Kids Activities
Any other classes / offerings that require pre booking
To supply and administer clean towels and lockers keys.
Have knowledge of Kronos management system and keep updated / amend as required
Ensure that all associates are utilising Kronos for clocking in and out of each shift.
Approve weekly hours if required by Friday 10.00am
Have knowledge of Mhub & Kronos payroll system – Update absence entries as and when required
Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than 40 hours per week.
Wipe down fitness center machines and remove towels, trash, and debris from fitness center area. Maintain an adequate supply of cups and water in recreation area. Clean fitness and recreation area restrooms and showers. Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures. Distribute lockers and towels to guests. Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform supervisor/manager of low supply items. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members. Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces with care. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
