Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for a Learning Support Trainer to join our Student Experience and Pastoral team. In this role, you will work in a thriving and progressive team, supporting a range of neurodiverse students across DCG's fantastic campuses. You will be key in facilitating a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment in the college’s Base-Rooms. These spaces are a hive of activity, where students can access support to reach their potential at DCG.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       To work outside of the classroom in a non-teaching capacity, supporting students presenting with learning support requirements through one to one or small group coaching sessions. This could be in any location across DCG. 

Managing the daily operations of the Learning Support Base RoomsProviding a student-centred approach to identifying support needs and completing student support plansAct as a Mental Health First Aider supporting students with their wellbeing

You will have a passion for education, an energy to invest in the students you support and an ability to drive and implement new initiatives. If you’re positive, motivated, ready to learn new skills and be a role model we'd love to hear from you
