FR Consultants, part of the RSK Group, is looking to appoint a Financial Controller on a full time, permanent basis in Romsey.

FR Consultants Ltd is a Romsey based Fire Engineering Consultancy, offering External Wall Surveying, Fire Engineering Consultancy and Remediation Lead Consultancy to England, Scotland and South Wales.

Responsibilities:

Completion and preparation of the business annual budget for submission to Group. Prepare a monthly rolling forecast encompassing the latest month actuals, secured works to establish a full year out-turn. Work with the Management Accountant to finalise accurate Management Accounts presented to the executive team in line with RSK standard process and timetable. Conduct a monthly forensic review which reconciles the Management Accounts with the companies CRM System, ensuring that works are recognised in accordance with business revenue recognition processes and basic accounting principles. As part of this Month End Management Accounts finalisation, certify that the financial health and condition of the business is critiqued, ensuring that any liabilities have necessary provisions included where required. On a Quarterly basis, complete a Senior Management pack, encompassing Management Account, Out-turn Forecast, Company Risk Register and Business Plan update. Completion of 13 Week business cashflow, including full Debtor and Creditor position, to be shared with Group treasury to assist with financial covenants. Completion and submission of quarterly VAT Returns reconciling liability position back to trial balance. Completion of Monthly Divisional Report providing detailed commentary on any deviations in performance, including corrective and development actions. Completion of adhoc trading update reports for key business Stakeholders. Overall responsibility of the Debtors and Creditors Ledgers, ensuring transactions are processed in line with standard terms. Manage the team to investigate any items which do not align with agreed terms introducing a strategy for resolution. Forge strong relationships with Group Finance Business Partners to manage any business risks and performance issues. Implement and maintain a strong set of internal controls. Work collaboratively with the Commercial, Delivery and Operational teams to increase financial opportunity on client management process, optimising project terms e.g. Contractual and financial agreements. Manage of the Internal and External Audit process in conjunction with the Group Business Partners and External Auditors. Complete monthly submission to the central payroll team, through business partnering with key management.
Experience and Qualifications:
Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA) Experience in leading a Finance Team Experience in managing External and Internal Audit processes Strong analytical skills
