Main Purpose of Job

To undertake, individually or as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.

To cover staff absences and vacancies at any establishment within the area

All roles will require flexibility in terms of location, and hours worked, which could include early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Key responsibilities

To clean, wash, sweep, vacuum clean, empty litterbins, polish and dust designated areas (which may include toilets and showers) and fixtures and fittings using, where appropriate, powered equipment.

Completing timesheets (when applicable)

Ensure that equipment and materials are stored correctly

Reporting faulty machinery to supervisor/office (whichever is applicable)

Ordering materials (where applicable)

Litter picking duties internal (plus external - dependant on weather conditions)

Desirable Criteria

BICS qualified

Knowledge of Cleaning Service Standards

In-house processes/work practices

Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation

Operational Cleaning Service

Flexibility

Good interpersonal / communication skills

Numeracy and literacy

Ability to respond effectively when working in a demanding environment

Organisational skills
