GSL Education South Yorkshire are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join secondary schools across Sheffield.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classrooms in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students complete their assigned work and stay on task. You will help maintain a positive learning environment, support students' learning needs, and manage behaviour effectively. This role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience in education and develop key skills for a future career in teaching.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise classes and ensure students remain focused on their work.Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.Assist students with queries related to their tasks.Manage behaviour in line with school policies.Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behaviour.

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:

Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a school setting is preferred.Strong communication skills and classroom management abilities.Confidence in engaging with students and maintaining discipline.Ability to follow set lesson plans and ensure learning continues in the teacher's absence.Flexibility to cover various subjects and year groups.A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
