Salford, United Kingdom University of Salford Full time

Join us as a Researcher, leading our Evidence Synthesis team and be part of #TeamSalford, and one of the UK’s fastest-growing universities.

We are working collaboratively with the PenARC Evidence Synthesis Team, an expert group based at the University of Exeter on a project funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme.

The project will identify cost effective education and information interventions for people living with early chronic kidney disease (CKD), including consultation with people managing CKD, their carers and health professionals to expose current practice and co-create research priorities.

The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Research Fellow with expertise in systematic reviews to join and lead our team of academics undertaking a mixed methods evidence synthesis, for a fixed term project ending in August 2025.

You will lead the synthesis of both qualitative and quantitative evidence to inform the development and implementation of health policy, as well as producing high-quality publications, and gaining significant knowledge, guidance and recognition working alongside leaders in the evidence synthesis field.  You will also gain further experience, leading a Study Within a Review (SWAR).

This leadership post is based at the University of Salford and also provides an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with the PenARC Evidence Synthesis Team at the University of Exeter.

If you have expertise of meta-analysis, narrative synthesis, meta ethnography, or other systematic review techniques, we welcome your application.

This fixed term contract role will run until the end of August 2025, and is open to all suitably qualified applicants, including secondments.

For more information about the role, please contact Alli Whitehouse, Senior Recruitment Consultant via hrresourcing@salford.ac.uk.

Interviews for this opportunity will be held in the week commencing 17th June 2024.
