Asbestos Lab Analyst

Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits 24k - 30k + Training + Benefits

We are working closely with a privately owned Asbestos Consultancy who are now looking to take on an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their friendly laboratory in the Yorkshire region. This client is looking for a candidate who has experience working within an UKAS accredited asbestos laboratory, carrying out analysis of asbestos samples using PLM and stereo microscopy and completing job sheets upon completion of analysis. Consideration will be given to candidates from: Pudsey, Bradford, Halifax, Elland, Brighouse, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Shipley, Wakefield, Normanton, Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Scunthorpe, Worksop, Chesterfield.

Experience & Qualifications:
" At a minimum will hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
" Experience working in the laboratory for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy.
" In-depth knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.
" Excellent observation skills.
" Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The Role:
" Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out analysis on asbestos samples.
" Logging all samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
" Labelling, bagging, and storing samples correctly.
" Safety preparing all samples for analysis.
" Completing job sheets upon completion of analysis, ensuring to return to clients in a timely manner.
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Maintain the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Liaising with clients, providing support and advice when needed.
