We are seeking to appoint from September 2024 a well-qualified, enthusiastic Science teacher to join a strong and supportive department. The department is well-resourced and benefits from the support of a dedicated team of technicians.  The role is suitable for both experienced colleagues and ECTs.

      It is likely that the successful candidate will satisfy the following specification:Qualifications:

      Essential:-

    • Graduate
  • Qualified Teacher Status

    Desirable:-

  • Good honours degree
Further professional studies related to management and/or educationPrevious experience

Essential :-

Successful teaching experience across the ability rangeSuccessful teaching experience across all key stages

Desirable:-

Experience within a comprehensive schoolRecent and relevant INSETAbility to teach A LevelProfessional competence

Essential :-

Knowledge of National CurriculumStrong knowledge of subjectAbility to use a range of teaching strategiesPersonal qualities

Enthusiastic and able to inspire and motivate studentsGood interpersonal skillsGood healthAbility to work well in a teamA willingness to engage in all aspects of school lifeGood sense of humour
