This is an outstanding opportunity for an Associate Barrister to work, in house, for a private practice law firm based in Birmingham.
The Firm
A national law firm employing over 500 staff and enjoying numerous tier 1 rankings in the legal directories as well as being recognised as a premier employer to work for.
The Role
Plenty of opportunity to conduct prosecuting advocacy involving interim and substantive hearings. This includes shorter more straightforward hearings as well as more complex cases with further opportunity to appear in High Court and the First Tier Tribunal on appeals from decisions of the regulators.
The role will focus upon professional discipline cases such as sexual misconduct, dishonesty allegations/ fraud and serious instances of deficient professional performance. Hearings are usually contested and in the majority of cases the registrants are represented, most often by counsel.
The Candidate
A qualified Associate Barristerl, ideally, with previous experience in the field of regulation and professional discipline is strongly preferred, it is not essential and Barristers with criminal background may be considered. Experience or the ability to supervise more junior lawyers is essential.

Salary to dependent upon experience to £70,000
