Job Title: Senior Ecologist
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Approximately 35,000 per year
A prestigious environmental and engineering consultancy, recognised with multiple awards, is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Senior Ecologist in Birmingham. The perfect candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in ecological consultancy, contributing to the provision of ecological services throughout all phases of the development cycle.

Senior Ecologist Role and Responsibilities
Your experience in various aspects of ecological surveying and reporting, along with a solid understanding of the biodiversity net gain process, will enable you to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions to a diverse range of client challenges. As a Senior Ecologist, you will leverage your strong teamwork abilities to mentor the ecological team while also demonstrating the capability to work autonomously and manage your own tasks.
Requirements
- Essential: Full UK Driving License, CIEEM Membership
- Desirable: Protected Species License(s), ability to hold species mitigation license(s), experience in ornithology, familiarity with BREEAM Ecology Assessments
