Hours: Mon - Fri 25hrs/40 Weeks (0.5183 FTE)
About the role:
- We are looking for a Centre Administrator to join our Admin Department. As an Administrator you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:
- Customer Service and Administrative Activities: Assist the department with a wide range of customer service and administrative tasks, ensuring effective implementation of service standards.
- First Point of Contact: Represent the department by answering telephone inquiries and welcoming visitors.
- Document Production: Support the Head of Department, Course Managers and programme area staff by creating professional business documents, including meeting agendas, minutes, letters, emails, reports, and online purchase requisitions.
- Trip Arrangements: Arrange relevant trips for the department.
- Software Usage: Utilise various College software packages (such as ProSolution Student Database) as needed.
About you:
- ITQ Level 2 (IT qualification) or ECDL Level 2 (European Computing Driving Licence) or RSA II (OCR) Word Processing or equivalent
- Good general education to include English at GCSE grade A*- C or equivalent.
- Level 2 in Maths/Numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) or willingness to achieve Numeracy Level 2.
- Experience of working effectively in an office based environment
- Experience of working effectively in a customer focused environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs
- Experience of operating computerised and manual systems
- Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
- Proven ability to manage a busy and varied workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
