Solar Electrician Position Overview

In this role you will be conducting maintenance on a variety of electrical installations across multiple solar installations providing thorough reports to ensure operations continue smoothly. It provides you with autonomy to ensure work is completed to a high standard and also to engage with any subcontractors on site.

The ideal candidate will have experience in solar maintenance on a commercial or industrial scale with an 18th edition. They will have a broad range of knowledge across electrical systems such as cables, inverters, connectors, monitoring and communications but will also be looking to expand their knowledge and continually develop.



Solar Electrician Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in-

  • Daily inspection and reporting on operations across solar installs sites.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment
  • Routine maintenance on electrical installations.
  • Attending sites with faults and system failures
  • Fault finding on electrical components and rectifying
  • Working with external subcontractors to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Remedial works
  • Inspection and testing
  • O and M reports
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
  • Install new electrical components and wiring
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure functionality
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations when working with electrical systems
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects efficiently
  • Experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Solar equipment.
  • Level 3 electrical qualification and 18th edition.
  • Clean UK driving licence.
  • Willing to travel between multiple sites.
  • 2391 Inspection & testing qualification is essential
