A skilled and driven Accounts Assistant with at least one year of relevant experience is needed to join the team at this leading aircraft charter company based in Farnborough on a full-time or part-time basis.

You will be supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director with day-to-day accounting activities as well as assisting the wider team, as necessary.

Successful candidates will have a good foundation in finance and accounting principles, ideally with at least one year's experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be organised, efficient, flexible, and capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and changeable environment.

Background checks will be carried out to include Credit checks and a 5-year work history.

Key

Responsibilities:

General accounts adminObtain approval, code, and post supplier invoices onto accounting systemGenerate sales invoices from our bespoke client management system and post to the accounting systemPrepare BACS runs for approvalPost daily bank receipts and payments to the accounting systemProcessing staff mileage and expensesProcessing company credit card expensesBank reconciliation (multi-currency)Updating daily Exchange Rates on all systemsMonitoring daily communications and actioning/responding as neededFurther ad-hoc duties as required
Required Skills:
Strong numerical and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailConfident user of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)Understanding of manual double-entry bookkeeping ( not essential )Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and the ability to work on my own initiative, under pressure, within a small team environmentAbility to prioritise and manage responsibilities to ensure deadlines are metMulti-currency experience ( not essential )Must be able to meet Security Clearance requirements
