About the Role
As the Cleaning Operations Assistant Manager, you will support the leadership of the Store Services operation, ensuring that the team fulfil their duties diligently and efficiently. You will be accountable for delivering exceptional cleaning standards for Harrods, by developing a high performing team and driving colleague motivation.
In your role as Cleaning Operations Assistant Manager, you will be a team leader - present and driven, ensuring that all HR, people management and performance conversations are of high quality and up to date, consistent and regular. You will ensure the rotation is managed effectively, maintaining optimum cover for your area of responsibility. You will provide shift handovers, shift-briefings and facilitated training sessions of best working practices.
You will monitor routine cleaning, planned and reactive tasks, and ensure waste management procedures are adhered to & in line with Harrods sustainability targets. You will support with the management of stock and uniform inventory, ensuring that there are sufficient supplies at all time and obtain a thorough understanding of the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
You must be able to work 5 out of 7 days on a rota pattern - this includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays. This role will work on the PM shift - 12.30-9.30pm.
About You
You will come from the cleaning and waste industry, with experience in a proactive & organised, as well as reactive, environment. You will bring a good level of HR policy awareness, having led a team before and be a manager who spends regular, quality time at the front of the operation with your operatives and team leaders.
