Project Quantity Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a highly reputable main contractor based in Oxford. The business operates out of several regional offices nationally and undertakes projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, residential and leisure valuing up to 20mil. Projects are a mix of single and two-stage tenders and are typically administered via JCT forms of contract.

About the role of Project Quantity Surveyor:

As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing your own project valuing usually up to 15mil. You will be involved in the project from pre-construction and will be responsible for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities as Project Quantity Surveyor:

  • Be involved in 2-stage tendering
  • Manage project budgets from pre-construction to final accounts and client handover
  • Undertake monthly CVR's to present to the board
  • Support and mentor junior members of staff

Requirements for this Project Quantity Surveyor role:

  • HNC / Degree qualified (BSc Quantity Surveying or Construction Management etc)
  • Have a proven track record of managing your own projects to commercial success
  • Have strong working knowledge of JCT forms of contract (NEC is desirable)
  • Live within a commutable distance to Oxford
