Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Minworth site.
As Assistant Management Accountant you will be responsible for undertaking a number of weekly and monthly financial reporting tasks.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward thinking market leader.
Job responsibilities of Assistant Management Accountant include:
Production of the weekly costings for a number of operations run from our customer-focused sitesPreparation of Management Accounts including posting journalsInvestigation and explanation of variances in the Management AccountsPreparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliationsSupport with the production of the monthly review pack of financial and operational management information for discussion with customers at review meetingsInvoice and credit control customers and update the Company cash forecastReview supplier invoices against their purchase orders and assist in the authorisation processDeal with site suppliers including self-billing subcontract hauliers on a weekly basisAssist with the annual budget processAssist with quarterly forecastingCollate and issue various internal reportingSupport the finance team with ad-hoc projectsFiling and admin to support the accounts team as requiredQualifications
To apply for the role of Assistant Management Accountant, you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
Part qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or QBE.Experience of working in a similar industry is an advantageHighly proficient in using IT, including MS Office and accounts softwareExcel is a key management information tool, a sound knowledge of spreadsheet writing and analysis of data is essentialExperienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferralGood communicator at all levels including, operational warehouse and transport managers and staff, customers, suppliers and other internal staffGood team-player with the drive to see tasks through to completion and meet deadlines setInquisitive in nature with the ability to take initiative, looking for constant development and improvement of proceduresExcellent attention to detail, with high levels of accuracyAdditional Information
