We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join a hugely successful and collaborative school to commence in post in September 2024. 

The person appointed should have experience of working in an educational environment, high professional standards, enthusiasm, energy, and a clear sense of teamwork. 

The full-time role would be Monday to Friday term time only (approximately 32 weeks per academic year) to include four staff training days and one day preceding the start of each term. A part-time role could be explored for the right candidate.

 

The successful candidate should have strong administrative and organisational skills, vital in a busy school, and the ability to work flexibly and take initiative. 

 

Cover supervisors are suitably trained school staff who supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The cover supervisor’s main job is to manage a classroom, registering students, reporting absences while ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. The role will not require any active teaching, marking, or planning.
