Orion Technology are seeking talented Software Developers to join multinational biopharmaceutical client on a contract basis. We are looking for 4 individuals with distinct skill sets to contribute to exciting and challenging projects.

About the Role:

Both roles will involve working on a project that requires debranding code. This process includes:

  • Analyzing code to understand its structure and functionality.
  • Removing any references, logos, or branding elements from the code.
  • Thoroughly testing the modified code to ensure it functions correctly.
  • Collaborating with team members to review and approve changes.

Role 1: Software Developer

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both client-side and server-side JavaScript development (Node.js) and be proficient in TypeScript.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • Work with relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
  • Utilize Elasticsearch for data search and retrieval.
  • Leverage NestJS and Angular frameworks for efficient development.
  • Collaborate effectively within an Agile development team.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Contribute to the debranding of code, including code analysis, removal of proprietary elements, testing, and review.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL), preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with NestJS and Angular frameworks is preferred.
  • Git and Jira proficiency.
  • Basic understanding of Docker containers.
  • Linux/macOS/Unix shell experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Role 2: Software Developer

The ideal candidate will have a strong Java foundation. Experience with Python and ReactJS is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications using Java, with Python and ReactJS as preferred additional skills.
  • Collaborate effectively within an Agile development team.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Contribute to the debranding of code, including code analysis, removal of proprietary elements, testing, and review.
  • Understand and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work with Linux-based virtual machines and Docker technology.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming.
  • Experience with Python and ReactJS is desirable.
  • Git and Jira proficiency.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based virtual machines and Docker technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
