Salary:
£35k-£40k Negotiable (depending on experience).

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Tax Advisor, for our clients busy Private Client department, ideally based in Gravesend, but they will consider other office locations as well. This is a busy and varied role covering all aspects of private client taxation work. Experience and knowledge is required in the following fields:
Self-assessment tax returns including employee share options, foreign income, self-employment, land and property and disposal of assetsClaiming reliefs for investment schemes such as EIS, SEIS and VCT’sPreparing profit and loss accounts for the self-employed and landlordsUndertaking capital gains tax computations to assist in the completion of the tax returnsCompletion of non-resident capital gains tax reportsDealing with HMRC enquiriesDealing with reconciling the tax position up to the date of deathAnnual trust accounts and tax returnsEstate tax returns for the administration periodTax implications and compliance for trust set up and terminationComplex taxation of discretionary settlementsInheritance tax advice and compliance for relevant property trustsCapital gains tax advice and complianceIncome tax advice and compliance in relation to trusts and estatesInternational tax compliance such as FATCA
STEP would be preferable but not essential; the Firm assists in career development/studying and candidates undertaking STEP will also be considered
