Our BI team is on a mission to help SBG make the right decisions To do this we need to better understand our customers, through industry leading research and analysis. If youâre an established Research leader, with a background in either agency or in-house, then check out this fantastic opportunity to join the team as its Head of Research.

The Research team helps various areas from across the business really understand what makes our customers tick. In addition to this, they also garner an understanding of the broader market, playing a key role in the setting of our commercial strategy.

Our approach to in house research over the last 5 years has been a key contributor to our success as a business.  Itâs also enabled us to keep our customers safe and helped make them feel valued.

As the Head of Research, you will excel in three core ways â be an expert in a wide range of research techniques, have a commercial mind to be able to translate research into commercial opportunity and a natural people person to enable you to develop your team.

Role responsibilities:

  • Lead an established, engaged and high performing team of research analysts who are embedded in the Bet, Gaming & Customer facets of the business.

  • Instil a culture of coaching, mentorship and learning across all areas of the research discipline from qualitative and quantitative research to completely new and innovative techniques.

  • Encourage your team to be advocates for our customers â understanding their wants and needs and ensuring we are fully focused on delivery these findings in the right way.

  • Contribute to the SBG business strategy by fully understanding the consumer and market conditions. Stay ahead of the curve in knowing the value of opportunities in our market and work effectively with a wide spectrum of people from across out business in advising on future strategy.

  • Take overall responsibility for our research supplier relationships and maximise these to their fullest.

  • Develop yearly/quarterly research plans & priorities that unlock SBG future ambitions

  • Build methods of combining consumer insight with business insight

  • Understand commercial opportunities through the use of customer & market insights

  • Champion the customer at every opportunity

  • Devise development plans for your team that sets out clear progression for them

  • Be clear on your teams capacity and be able to proactively plan team output based on your resource
