About the role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging Religious Education lessons that inspire students to think critically about a wide range of beliefs and ethical issues. You will be creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging respectful discussions and deepening students' understanding of world religions and philosophies. You will also play a key role in assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the broader pastoral and academic life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to students across various year groups.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their understanding of religious studies and ethical issues.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respectful discussions and critical thinking.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in pastoral care, extracurricular activities, and school events related to Religious Education.
• Stay up to date with the Religious Education curriculum and utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level is highly desirable.
• A strong commitment to student achievement and personal development.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students in their exploration of religious studies and ethical thinking.
