About us 

All children are special but at RAFAKidz we believe our children are extra special. RAFAKidz is one of the chosen providers of nursery services to the RAF (Royal Air Force).  Our nursery at Walters Ash is one of 16 settings in the RAFAKidz family. The nursery itself has circa 40 children with spaces in continued demand.

Due to the phenomenal growth of the nursery we are looking to welcome colleagues who are Level 3 qualified, including newly qualified applicants looking to take the next step in their early years career path. We offer subsidised childcare for colleagues to be able to bring their children with them, high quality up-to-date training including using our software to electronically record your observations and updates. You’ll have ample annual leave and time off to relax and recharge over the Christmas period. 

We will give you a great induction experience, training and development opportunities and you’ll be learning on the job from amazing colleagues 

 A typical day in the role will include; 

  • Meet and greet families and build great relationships
  • Using the EYFS learning outcomes to plan and carry educational and stimulating activities
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records that fulfil Ofsted requirements
  • Designated key worker responsibilities for a group of children
  • Work with Senco to identify and support children with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Role model to other colleagues and supporting them in their learning journeys towards qualifications
