Procurement Manager

If so, our client is an industry leading supplier in the hire and construction sector, with a strong reputation in delivering on expectation.
Due to continued demand, they now seek to employ a skilled Procurement Manager to join their successful team based at their UK Head Office in St. Neots.
The role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, managing supplier relationships and analysing/reviewing sourcing decisions based on process outcomes.
Strategic Procurement:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and supplier capabilities.
Supplier Management:
- Source and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier risks.
Procurement Operations:
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations and ethical standards.
- Manage the procurement budget and track procurement KPIs.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and ensure timely fulfilment.
- Establishment and maintenance of SharePoint database to hold relevant, complete and accurate information thus enabling immediate data mining whenever required
This position is an office-based position, within a busy but relaxed atmosphere. You will report into the company directors, with the flexibility to make the role your own building upon your previous experience.
Attendance in the office is required days a week after probation and would suit someone with construction/building experience and who wants to continue their career growth.
