About the School:

Our Partnered School provides a holistic person-centered approach to education. Their curriculum is designed to cater to the needs of their pupils. Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play an integral role in supporting students on their academic journey. Your responsibilities will include:

Individualised Guidance: Build positive relationships with students, offering one-on-one support to help them overcome learning challenges.

Resource Development: Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create and adapt learning materials, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for students with diverse learning needs.

Inclusive Education: Create an inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity, promotes understanding and encourages positive social interactions.

Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and working with the teaching team to adjust support strategies as needed.

Personal Development: Promote and encourage effective learning habits, organisational skills, and independent learning.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Enhanced DBS Check or be willing to complete one.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or possess equivalent teaching or education qualifications.
  • Demonstrate a compassionate and patient attitude, with a genuine commitment to understanding and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Additional Details:

Hours: This is a part-time position.

Salary: Competitive, based on the M1 - M6 teaching scale, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
