Carterton Community College is a rural school, with a real sense of community, bordering the Cotswolds and within easy commuting distance of Oxford, Cheltenham and Swindon.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified and dedicated Teacher of Music to join our established Culture Music and Sport faculty. We are an ambitious and growing school and seek colleagues with passion and determination to inspire children’s love of learning and secure the best outcomes for them.
This will be a full-time role. The ideal candidate will be able to teach from KS3 through to A level. You should be able to deliver high quality teaching and learning and have a clear focus on the achievement of young people. Your role will also involve contributing to the wide number of extra-curricular activities run by the Music and Drama Departments, for example, ensemble and choir rehearsals as well as concerts and productions, according to your experience.
The post would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher, equally we would welcome applications from ECTs.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A thorough knowledge of the Music curriculum.
- Excellent knowledge/experience across Key Stages 3, and 4. Experience at Key Stage 5 is not essential as this can be developed once appointed.
- Passion and dedication in delivering high standards.
- Experience in planning and adapting an appropriate and challenging curriculum.
- Ability to implement strategies to meet school development targets.
- Outstanding teaching and learning practice, with dedication and enthusiasm for Music.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- The desire to have a positive impact on students’ lives.
