About the Department:
The SOAS Department of Politics and International Studies is a world-leading, research-led department, ranked 5th in the UK and 17th in the world (QS World University Rankings 2023).
The Department is known for its combination of both academic and professional training in politics and international relations with a focus on the politics and international relations of the Global South (Asia, Africa, and the Middle East).
About the Role
The Department of Politics and International Studies is pleased to invite applications for a Lectureship (Teaching) focused on the Politics and International Relations of Africa / Migration for the academic year 2024-2025.
The role holder will be expected to support the delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
In particular, the role holder will convene and teach both general and specialist modules (individually and with others), advise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, and provide pastoral care for students. The role holder will also be expected to work in a collegial and collaborative manner with both academic and non-academic staff across the Department and the School.
This post will combine a focus on the politics and international relations of Africa with a focus on the politics of migration.
