Your work will be crucial in driving high-profile initiatives that further solidify LSBU's reputation as a research and innovation leader, both locally and globally.

This role is offered on a fixed-term, 12-month, Maternity Cover contract. 

As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse range of grant-funded and commercial projects, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal resource allocation and project success.

In this role, you will contribute to the growth of LSBU's portfolio of grants, establishing robust relationships with public and private organisations while managing the delivery of multiple projects across the university's academic ecosystem.

Working hand in hand with the Programme Manager and the Head of Post-Award and Project Management, you will be at the forefront of strategic initiatives that leverage LSBU's research strengths and contribute to local and international research and innovation grants and contracts.

About You:

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Proven track record of successful project management, including budget/resource control.
  • Degree plus preferably relevant professional qualifications and/or relevant experience.
  • Excellent leadership and management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient negotiation and influencing capabilities.
  • Efficient risk and issue management skills.
  • Highly organised and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Technology proficient. Familiarity with CRM tools is desirable
