Client Details

A UK based NGO are searching for an Interim Finance Director to join their finance team of 5, with the aim of joining on a permanent basis if successful. They are a dynamic, innovative charity, as opposed to a traditional NGO.

Description

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising closely with the external auditors to facilitate a clean audit process
  • Providing leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Viewing current finance mechanisms and putting new ones in place
  • Working closely with the trustees to funds are being used correctly
  • Overseeing of the US arm, but predominantly focussed on getting the UK arm fully fledged and organised
  • Fundraising work
  • Collaborating with executive leadership to drive the financial planning of the company.
  • Overseeing tax filings

Profile

A successful candidate will:

  • Be fully Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Have an extensive international grant-making background
  • Have previous experience in a senior finance role within a Not For Profit organisation.
  • Possess excellent leadership abilities - you will have 4 direct reports
  • Understand complaince and risk
  • Be able to provide financial structures from scratch
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment
