Personal Injury Solicitor – EL/PL - Manchester – Brilliant opportunity to join small, specialist sub team working directly with the Senior Associate and Legal Director. The recruiting Partner is looking for a bright and capable lawyer to work on a range of cases which are more unique and rare in nature.
 
Overview
Job Title: Associate Location: Manchester Salary: to £57,000 Work pattern: hybrid - 3 days working from home Reports to: Partner Expertise: 2-5 PQE solicitor with strong academic background and ideally proven EL/PL experience from a defendant perspective. Claimant EL/PL experience will also be considered. More about the role
   
All the work is hourly rate. The team is also heavily involved in trial work. In particular, the successful applicant will:
Handle a caseload of complex matters including setting case strategy; Assist on ultra high-value complex injury matters; Draft pleadings; Report to clients and develop relationships; Prepare instructions to counsel and experts attend conferences. Conduct research and keep up to date with legal and industry practices as well as contribute to thought leadership. Clients include ‘tier 1’ global insurers and corporates particularly in manufacturing and logistics as well as other sectors who require advice on highly technical often esoteric cases including severe burn cases as well as cases involving assault, abuse or neglect.
 
The team also advises clients on civil liability issues following a terrorist act as well as defending against false imprisonment and malicious prosecution claims.

Structure of small, specialist team

The team consists of two Partners, 2 Legal Directors, 3 Senior Associates and an NQ and Paralegal. Given its size, prospects for career progression are excellent.
