The Role
As Knowledge Translation Lead (KTP Associate), you will be leading the delivery of an exciting Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Coventry University and NHS England (NHSE). The KTP aims to inform the national response to sexual violence and abuse, by systematically transferring robust evidence from research led by Coventry University into NHSE policy, commissioning strategies and service delivery in relation to sexual violence and abuse, to enhance the long-term health and quality of life for victims and survivors of abuse across England.
We are seeking to recruit a KTP Associate to lead on this project, working closely with academics at Coventry University, the national and regional teams at NHSE (Sexual Assault and Abuse Services programme), organisations and stakeholders across England, and with survivors of sexual violence and abuse.
As Knowledge Translation Lead, you will be responsible for the daily planning and implementation of the KTP project plans, objectives, and milestones. You will take the lead in promoting and disseminating the project outputs, and you will develop relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
The post is supported and funded through the KTP scheme (led by Innovate UK).
Qualifications Required
Degree (1st class or 2.1) in appropriate subject such as health, arts and humanities, or policy area
PhD (or equivalent work experience) in relevant field
Masters degree in a relevant field is advantageous
Our Successful Candidate
We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual who wants to become a future leader in the sexual violence and health/policy sector. You will have relevant experience of working with survivors of sexual assault and abuse (or with other disadvantaged groups) and have the skills and experience to lead, develop and deliver a project that applies research evidence into policy, commissioning and practice changes.
You will be highly organised, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to convey highly complex and sensitive information and build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.
You will be driven by a commitment to promoting the values that underpin trauma-competent care whilst navigating a high-paced role and managing multiple relationships in a health, policy and research environment. You will also have flexibility and a willingness to frequently travel across the UK, including the NHSE site in Leeds and Coventry University (a budget for travel and subsistence is available).
You will be integrated into teams and support structures at Coventry University and NHSE, and you will receive mentoring by an Innovate UK KTP Advisor. You will also have substantial training opportunities to support your academic and public sector development.
