About your team

The Fund Servicing & Oversight (FSO) group delivers core services to ISS from across the globe. FSO is split into four key areas: Fund Accounting & Control, Asset Pricing & Data Operations, Corporate Actions and Fund Solutions & Shared Services. Fund Accounting and Control is responsible for Internal Fund Accounting, Recording Keeping for non-regulated products, NAV Oversight, Financial Reporting and Global Audit Support and Co-Ordination.

The NAV Sign Off team is responsible for all activities pertaining to the daily valuation and validation of NAVs (Net Asset Value) for FIL's wide range of Onshore & Offshore products. We do this by explaining all security and other asset movements in the funds. The team is also responsible for applying swing adjustments to the NAVs.

About your role

In addition to the operational responsibilities the team also plays a key role in supporting projects, developments and testing of system upgrades affecting fund accounting area. The jobholder will have the responsibility for control and review of various elements of NAV (Net Asset Value) on a wide variety of fund types. The role will focus principally on the daily valuation and checking of the Onshore & Offshore product ranges. The basic working week is 35 hours, made up of five seven-hour days (Monday to Friday). Due to the nature of work the Job holder may be asked to work slightly different hours on a rotational basis.

Your key accountabilities
  • Review and sign off NAVs for variety of fund ranges throughout the day, ensuring no material NAV/pricing errors
  • Review sign-off processes and implement procedural improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency
  • Follow up any issues arising with other areas such as Asset Valuation, Corporate Actions, Trade Management Service etc. within Global Business Solutions and see through to resolution
  • Timely escalation of any issues or exceptions found during processing
  • Provide support for issue resolution and various business developments and initiatives
  • Ensure that all Pre - NAV evaluation exceptions are resolved in a timely manner, and that adequate escalation procedures are in place
  • Provide support to offshore team for accounting shadow activity for out sourced funds
  • Participation in projects
  • Participation in the month end reporting NAV and Dilution Levy/ Swinging prices calculation processes
    About you

    The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and respond promptly to issues and queries. Being able to communicate effectively and recognise when issues need to be escalated.
