We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Associate or Senior Associate to join our Employment team in Birmingham. For this position we are happy to consider anyone looking for either full-time or part-time working across 4 or 5 days.

You will be working closely with a Partner and Solicitor within the team, working on a broad range of employment work. This includes contentious and non-contentious work such as disputes around covenants, settlements, employment tribunals and data protection. We also have a large corporate team which the Employment team assists with corporate support work.

What we need you to do:

  • Advise on a range of issues across the breadth of employment law
  • Develop and maintain knowledge on employment issues, working collaboratively with colleagues across the whole team and other departments in order to share knowledge.
  • Develop opportunities for referral of work across the business and actively participate in business development opportunities.

About You

You will need:

  • 3-6 PQE
  • A solid grounding in Employment law
  • An ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships
  • Excellent technical ability and drafting skills
  • To demonstrate teamwork and relationship building skills
  • To have strong commercial acumen
  • To be proactive, ambitious and organised with a keen eye for detail
