Temporary Intervention Worker CANS in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Working to the requirements of the Children act 1989 and the Social Services and Well Being Act 2014, the Resilient Families Service is responsible for the delivery of effective Team Around the Family arrangements across the County Borough.

As part of the Resilient Families Service, it is the responsibility of the Children with Additional Needs Service (CANS) Team to deliver a short-term package of support to families with complex needs as a result of the neuro- developmental, cognitive or physical impairment needs of the child(ren) in order to support them to manage these needs and address the impact on the wider family.

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic CANS Intervention Worker to provide practical, reliable, and flexible support to families across RCT who have been identified as requiring intensive intervention as part the Resilient Families service as a result of their complex needs.

The successful candidate must possess the Children and Young People level 3 in Health and Social Care (QCF) or predecessor NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or ability to achieve the QCF within 2 years of being allocated an assessor.
