Raw Materials Sampler

This will be a night shift position with the following hours:

Sunday night: 11:45pm - 6am

Monday-Thursday night: 10pm - 6am

(Off Fri and Sat nights)

Scope of the Role

Responsibilities within the Quality System include:

  • Moving materials to and from the Sampling Booth.
  • Inspecting Raw Materials, Components and Purchased bulk stock for signs of transit damage, cleanliness, evidence of pest infestation, contamination or degradation.
  • Confirmation that the Perrigo container labels have been affixed to stock correctly, and that materials have been correctly identified by warehouse staff.
  • Confirmation of manufacturer's batch number on containers' of stocks and Goods Received Note (GRGI Slip).
  • Sampling of Raw Materials, Components and Purchased bulk, in such a manner as to obtain a representative sample whilst minimising risk of cross- contamination. Samples to be taken for chemical, physical, microbiological examination as appropriate. Raman Identification when required. Once sampling procedure is complete, ensuring that pallets are wrapped and ready to be stored in Warehouse racking.
  • Maintaining standards of cGMP throughout the sampling operation, including the labelling of sampled containers to provide sample traceability.
  • Cleaning sampling utensils, sampling booth and associated equipment.
  • Conveying sample to the appropriate sections of the Laboratory in a timely manner.
  • Filing duties and other support tasks in the laboratory.
  • Maintenance of Raw Material Retained Samples.

Experience Required

  • Good material handling skills, including ability to handle hazardous materials with care and to sample aseptically.
  • Relevant truck driving licence is an advantage but in house training can be provided
