Bourne Town Council has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the Council's Support Team.

We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced person with good administrative, financial, IT and communication skills, preferably from within the Local Government sector. The role offers the opportunity to undertake external training to achieve the CiLCA qualifi cation, enabling career progression. This is a full time position with a core working time from 9.00am to 5.00pm. However, there is a need for flexibility regarding working hours, to cover some evening meetings and possible weekend work. Based mainly in the Council offices, the successful candidate will be expected to make regular visits to other council facilities within the Parish.

  • Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
  • Liaison with Town Councillors and the general public;
  • Management and development of the Council Website and Social Media;
  • IT Services;
  • Finance;
  • Support of Council Committees and events:
  • Document management;
