Salary: £24,000 per annum

Employment Type: Temp to Perm, Permanent for the right candidate

Igloo is looking for Level 1 Technicians to join our client s team in Upper Heyford This role presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to join one of the UK's leading automotive companies, which has operations across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle health checks and PDI/PDC according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Manage check sheet completion using AssetCare system.
  • Collaborate with team for consistent productivity.
  • Ensure accurate documentation completion.
  • Identify and report vehicle defects to Damage Controller.
  • Occasionally perform minor repairs, servicing, and tyre replacements.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and safety.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and housekeeping.
  • Fulfill other duties as required.

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • City & Guilds 1 & 2 in Motor Vehicle Studies or Higher BTEC essential
  • Successful completion of Manufacturer s training courses desirable
  • Relevant experience in a workshop environment essential
  • Good level of industry knowledge/awareness desirable
  • Good awareness of quality standards essential
  • Good problem-solving skills desirable
  • Professional attitude, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments essential
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised to achieve high standards desirable
