We are pleased to announce that we are looking to appoint a full-time Head of Year. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop their pastoral experience and take their first middle leadership position.
We are looking for a highly motivated and committed teacher with the ability to inspire staff and students. The successful candidate will play a central role in realising the vision and ambitions of the school and will be a key member of the Middle Leadership Team; developing and implementing the behaviour strategy.
Hollyfield is a vibrant school with pupils and parents representing a diverse range of backgrounds. This role demands someone to have the energy and character to meet the day-to-day needs and challenges of running a year group, as well as demonstrating their ability for long-term strategic planning.
Candidates who have a track record in taking active steps to support young people, develop good relationships with parents and have a good understanding of the barriers to learning that students face, are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will benefit from being supported by an experienced and welcoming pastoral team, with opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Hollyfield is a beautiful school with a thriving sixth form, in the Surbiton area of Outer London. The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:
● QTS;
● a broad base of subject knowledge;
● the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5;
● a track record of success in middle leadership;
● a clear vision for a knowledge-rich curriculum;
● a clear understanding of successful classroom practice and evidence based teaching;
● employs a range of teaching and learning strategies;
● the ability to work effectively as part of a curriculum team;
● the ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;
● effective interpersonal skills;
● able to demonstrate suitability to work with children and young people.
