Cambridge, United Kingdom Anglia Ruskin University Full time

About ARU:
ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields.  We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities.  Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the role:
Sitting within our Organisational Development (OD) Team, this role plays a key part in leading a range of L&D activities and managing the modernisation of the L&D function - this is a really exciting time to join us as we look at what we’ve been providing, understand our return on investment and look at what and how we take forward our L&D offer in the future. This role will work across all our faculties and professional service areas and be a key lead across a number of programmes of work, as well as be responsible for our Learning & Development Team.

With relevant knowledge, skills and experiences as described in the person specification, some of your responsibilities include leading and facilitating action learning sets, team exercise and mediation sessions; delivering expert coaching and mentoring sessions; leading, reviewing and continuously improving our performance management systems (e.g. PCDR/appraisal) ensuring high levels of engagement and completion; overseeing the development, promotion, organisation and delivery of corporate activities such as induction and management briefings, continually reviewing and enhancing our onboarding activities.

You’ll have the ability to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative, organise and prioritise a very busy workload, have a good understanding and experience of the theories and techniques involved in creating, delivering and implementing learning and development interventions that meet business and people needs AND how to evaluate, test and monitor impact to assess return on investment. You’ll have brilliant interpersonal skills, a ‘can do’ approach and be absolutely committed to providing responsive, excellent customer service.

If this role sound like you, we’d love to hear from you. For an informal discussion please contact Tracy Dawson, Assistant HR Director (Organisational Development), at Tracy.Dawson@aru.ac.uk.
