A well-established costs firm in Yorkshire is expanding its team and seeking a Costs Lawyer/Draftsperson with 2-3 years of experience in handling a diverse caseload. This remote position offers an opportunity to work independently while contributing to a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a varied caseload consisting of fast track and multi-track Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, and Commercial claims. Draft bills, replies, budgets, and other costs-related documents. Negotiate settlements and prepare for Costs Case Management Conferences (CCMCs). Collaborate with clients, solicitors, and barristers to ensure accurate and timely completion of work. Work independently while maintaining effective teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Costs Lawyer or Draftsperson. Competent in all aspects of costs drafting. Experience attending CCMCs is an advantage but not essential. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.
