We're looking for a Change Manager / SQS to join our Natural Resources Team for our Bournemouth Water Alderney Water Treatment works contract. Working from home you'll also visit the project site in Bournemouth.

Location: Within travelling distance to Dorset, Bournemouth

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know

Responsibilities

As a Change Manager / SQS, you'll work independently managing change on specific areas of the project. You will have overall day-to-day commercial responsibility for the delivery of the works from inception to completion. This includes subcontract management, VCR management, change control, forecasting, final accounting. You will be supported by the wider team and the Commercial Manager.

Your day to day will include:

  • Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management.
  • Measure works carried out and reconcile to Target Cost;
  • Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on time
  • Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team. Help ensure that business targets and KPI's are exceeded
  • Provide assistance, guidance and support to the operational teams in the areas of: Contract Compliance, The financial impact of decisions; Value maximisation/cost saving techniques; Procurement strategy
  • Accurately monitor, forecast and report project cost and value

What are we looking for?

This role of Change Manager / SQS is great for you if you:

  • Experience within a similar role working on NEC contracts with Target Costs
  • Experience within the construction or civils industry and of framework civils/utilities contracts
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Working towards / attained Professional membership
