Description

Financial Accountant duties:

  • Ensure a strong financial control environment in the UK, oversee UK taxation, and manage banking, investments, and foreign currency transactions.
  • Commit to the timely and accurate completion of financial accounting tasks for the UK, including group reporting and audits, covering three UK companies.
  • Serve as the main advisor on accounting standards, taxation, and financial controls for finance colleagues and senior management.
  • Oversee the investigation and management of allegations or suspicions related to terrorist financing.
  • Supervise a small finance team.
  • Supporting the wider finance team on an adhoc basis when required.

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant:

  • Professionally qualified with a relevant membership body: ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial standards.
  • Experience working within a Not for Profit environment.
  • Good charity SORP understanding
  • Highly analytical character with an eye for detail.
  • Comfortable presenting and good communicator.
