Job overview

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of data to both the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR) and the Trust's internal Trauma registry. This will involve tracking all trauma calls through their inpatient stay and the identification, using the NMTR criteria of patients admitted to the MTC under Major Trauma.

Subsequently, the post holder will be responsible for collating information from the entire inpatient stay, confirming accuracy of data with nominated consultants and submitting the data via the NMTR Electronic Data Collection & Reporting (EDCR) system.

The post holder will also be required to collate information on all trauma patients, including those who do not meet the NMTR eligibility criteria and submit this to the Trust Trauma registry.

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to data team within the Trauma Service, with the following key objectives:
Manage the process and directly submit timely, accurate and reliable data to the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR), formerly known as TARN, and the internal Trauma Registry working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Be responsible for maximising both income and data quality.To provide reporting and analysis of data as required.
