About the Role

The Group is a listed business with aspirations to operate the best-in-class control environment and financial systems infrastructure whilst striving to continuously optimise the financial and operational landscape.

You will have strong analytical skills and an ability to deliver large scale project deliverables on time and to the required quality standards. You will specifically focus on Shared Services functions and work closely with various role players feeding information into that area. You will have strong accounting and analytical skills and be comfortable to be involved in a complex and fast-moving environment. You are keen to optimise existing processes and are driven to figure out solutions to everyday problems in an innovative and efficient manner.

You will be part of the Group Shared Services team, reporting into the Head of Shared Services and will gain exposure to the Senior Finance Leadership team within THG.

Responsibilities:

Undertake route cause analysis pertaining to various areas of Shared Services with the aim to design and implement a solution that will lead to efficiency gains and/or cost savings, Assist with the scoping, design, testing and implementation of financial solutions, Develop standard operating procedure documents to be used when operationalisation of designed solution Train operational teams on procedure - and/or technology solutions Constantly challenge the status quo on how we can improve controls across the Group, implement ideas and improvements to strengthen our financial controls, Report to senior financial stakeholders regularly on key issues.
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5+ years post qualified experience in industry, Understanding the principles of accounting and internal control demonstrating a keen eye for detail, Strong communication skills as this will involve dealing with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, Financial operations experience (Desirable), Payments and e-Commerce experience (Desirable) Experience working within a fast-paced environment, Planning and organisational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, A confident mindset, comfortable in dealing with a wide range of key stakeholders.
