Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is recruiting for a Programme coordinator to support existing rotorcraft platforms in the execution of their portfolio delivery plans. The role will need to support a complex internal/external stakeholder map back into Boeing US and RAF, Army and DE&S customers across two primary sites at Gosport and Yeovil. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 3 days on site and some options for home working. Some travel to other sites such as Bristol or Odiham may be expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads two platform level programme meetings and governance drumbeat

  • Ensure follow up actions for issue resolution

  • Co-ordinate AH and CH47 PEM inputs

  • Key interface with Programme Management core function

  • Execution resource planning

  • Coordinates the commitments with internal and external organisations to fulfill strategies

  • Platform reporting into VL, BDUK and other stakeholders (e.g. B2B, Boeing US weekly report)

  • Integration of common approach to programme governance (early adoption of RWE mentality)

  • Lead material generation for programme communication

  • Implements and maintains established processes for executing programmes

  • Supports Continuous Improvement of the Programme Management best practices

  • Prevents and resolves complex problems and approach to governance and controls of assigned work packages

  • Establishes high level professional networks and customer to facilitate company objectives and customer satisfaction

  • Supports Programme Managers in leading special projects kick off and execution

  • Provides support to managing and coordinating employee reward and recognition

  • Integrates the implementation of the Programme Management Best Practices. Implements customer and programme communication and contact plans

The successful candidate will be supporting and integrating work form team members with a range of experience and technical abilities, requiring excellent time management, communication skills and stakeholder management.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree OR significant experience in the defence / aerospace industry

  • A programme management qualification or attendance of Boeign PMW classes

  • Experience working with and partnering cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment

  • Able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in different global environments and time zones

Work Authorisation: This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance requiring 5 years continuous residency in the UK

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
