Position: Unqualified Teacher

Hours: Full-time and Day-to-Day Roles Available
Schedule: 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will be responsible for covering lessons in the absence of a qualified teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and productive. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain classroom experience and develop your skills in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising Classes: Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects when the regular teacher is absent.
  • Managing Classroom Behaviour: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, ensuring students stay on task and follow school behaviour policies.
  • Supporting Learning: Assist students with their work where needed, providing guidance and encouragement.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record student attendance and report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to different subjects and year groups, with the ability to manage a classroom environment effectively.
  • Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and committed to providing a positive educational experience for all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
