Position: Senior Digitalisation Engineer Type: Permanent Location: Warrington
Our client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider, is seeking a Senior Digitalisation Engineer to drive digital innovations and enhance operational efficiency across various industries. If you possess the required qualifications and experience, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the strategic development of individual sites and functions by implementing digital innovations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to devise and execute a comprehensive digitalisation strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the delivery of digital projects across all business units, ensuring timely execution.
- Develop digital value propositions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the development and implementation of a business-wide digitalisation strategy.
- Identify opportunities for digital innovation and recommend technologies to improve operational performance.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate the value of digital innovations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally for successful project implementation.
- Implement standardisation of solutions across the business.
- Act as a local point of contact for digitalisation support and consulting.
- Present and demonstrate digital solutions to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on new digital tools and technologies.
- Organise and conduct digitally focused training sessions to promote a change mindset towards digital approaches.
Skills & Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in engineering, operations, and digital technologies.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the industrial sector.
- Understanding and experience of lean management principles for process optimisation.
- Proficiency in Mobile Applications (Low Code Platforms), MS SQL Database (On-Prem / Cloud-Based), and Dashboard Reporting Technology (e.g., PowerBI).
- Technical support and troubleshooting experience for operational technology applications.
- Degree or HND/HNC in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certification in Project Management (Prince2, APM).
- Experience in engineering, operational focused positions, industrial automation and control, and digital technologies.
- Experience in developing and executing Digital Transformation Strategy.
- Proficiency in Change Management processes and its importance in organisational change.
- Passion for digital solutions and understanding of their benefits to business operations.
- Willingness to travel for project requirements.
