Job Opportunity: Joiners (Short-Term Project) - East Dunbartonshire Council Schools

Are you a skilled joiner looking for a short-term opportunity to make a difference in the educational sector? We're seeking experienced joiners to join our team for a two-week project, assisting with maintenance and repair work in various schools across East Dunbartonshire Council. If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute your expertise to create safe and inspiring learning environments, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities:

• Perform joinery work including repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks in school buildings.
• Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and project managers to coordinate work schedules and address any issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a joiner, with a strong focus on carpentry and woodworking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to construction work.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to various school locations within East Dunbartonshire Council.
