We are proud to deliver transformative creative education and have been graded as Outstanding by Ofsted for our FE provision and have some of the very best 2023 NSS results in the country. HCA is a dynamic independent arts school with the ability to collaborate across disciplines to develop empowered dynamic creatives for a changing world. Our students consistently win national awards in a range of disciplines. We have an industry relevant set of HE courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level with plans to expand and the BA (Hons) Digital Content Creation course is part of this development.

Hereford city and the wider region are also full of ambition with a new engineering university in development and Herefordshire Cultural Partnership galvanising arts and collaboration across the region. We are rooted in an exceptional place and connected to the world.

The College seeks to appoint a highly creative and committed individual to launch our newly validated BA (Hons) Digital Content Creation course. This innovative employer-focussed degree explores a broad understanding of the world of communication and marketing through working within a wide range of disciplines, equipping our students with the professional skills needed to succeed within this rapidly expanding sector of the industry. The role will include shaping the future of the programme and teaching the cohorts as they expand, whilst developing the ethos and content of the course. We have a clear sense of creative identity in this expanding sector of education. We are rooted in creativity, collaboration and individual student voices and journeys.

This is a chance to bring new ideas to the table to ensure our students are prepared for the changing shape of modern careers, bring new industry links and a vision for the future of the direct communication through digital content.

The successful candidate should have proven expertise and professional experience in the broad field of content creation. It is also desirable that candidates will have experience of programme leadership within Higher Education and teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level. HCA employs many dual professionals and has a successful track record of supporting staff to move between industry and education at the start of their academic careers.

For more experienced applicants there is the chance to be the new Head of School, and take on additional responsibilities across a number of programmes, alongside leading our BA (Hons) Digital Content Creation. Details for this opportunity are available on application.

Join our exciting team and be part of the ambitious future of HCA.
