We are an independent environmental construction company specialising in Upland and Lowland footpath construction, Bridge and Boardwalk infrastructure, machine works and Access Management. Due to continued development we are seeking to expand our capacity by finding the right person to join our experienced team.

About the Job

We are looking to expand our upland footpath team. Successful applicants will work as part of a highly experienced team with the predominant task of constructing and maintaining hand-built mountain footpaths. We also undertake other operations including peatland restoration and other conservation work which you will be part of. We work for some very high-profile clients and organisations which gives our teams great exposure and standing.

Please bear in mind this work is physically demanding with some long walks to the work sites. All work undertaken is physical manual working in remote location at all times of the year. For the right person this job is very rewarding and is a very unique industry to be part of.

We are keen to find someone with key attributes of being enthusiastic, organised, versatile and resilient. Applicant must be able to work and stay away from home when required, this is a mandatory criteria for the position. Our work sites are predominately in remote highland and west coast areas. Normal working days are Monday to Friday but we are trialling a 4-day working week currently through the summer. The company is based in the Inverness area therefore it is preferrable for applicants to be located or willing to relocate to the area. A full UK drivers licence is required. There will be opportunity for the right person to develop existing and new skills through training and qualifications with the aim to become an important part of our growing business. Immediate start available for the right person. Pay is hourly and the rate is based on experience in this line of work. Base rate is set by the real living wage foundation.
