We are seeking to recruit two Learning and Teaching Manager positions:

Learning and Teaching Manager Post 1 – Full time and open ended

Learning and Teaching Manager Post 2 – Part time (0.6FTE, 21 hours per week), fixed term to 14th July 2025 to cover maternity leave

This is an exciting opportunity for proactive managers with passion for delivering a high-quality and effective student experience, from application to graduation and beyond. These roles provide an opportunity to directly contribute to students’ positive experience of University.

These are important roles in learning and teaching and student support across the full programme portfolio for the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. From September the School will comprise programmes that are currently delivered by The Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, The Department of Electronic and Electronic Engineering and General Engineering.  Working alongside the existing Learning Teaching Manager, these roles will together lead the Student Support Team in delivering administrative support for over 1600 Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Taught (PGT students).

Working closely with the Director of Education, School Manager and other academic staff, you will contribute to the development and implementation of education and student support strategies, policies and procedures. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring all administrative and procedural aspects of learning and teaching for the whole student journey (from registration, progression, assessment through to graduation) are fit for purpose and deliver a high quality service to support our academic mission. You will also have line management responsibilities for the learning and teaching/student support professional services team.

Our ideal candidates will demonstrate evidence of strong management and leadership, excellent communication and time management skills and a commitment to continuous improvement you will provide oversight and leadership for our undergraduate and postgraduate activities.
